The timeline depends on how prepared you are:

1. FDA will typically call you 6 - 10 weeks after we submit your documents to them.
2. If you have all required documents ready, PFS can submit to the FDA office within a maximum of 2 weeks.
3. Express service is also available for faster processing.

For food / herbal / pharmaceutical businesses:

Food Processing Industry:

• Cottage Industry (1–3 persons): Product Reg GHC 300 + Facility Reg GHC 100
• Small Scale (4–10 persons): Product Reg GHC 600 + Facility Reg GHC 100
• Medium Scale (10+ persons): Product Reg GHC 900 + Facility Reg GHC 200

Cosmetics / Household Chemicals:

Imported Products:

Our service rates start from GHC 500. Specific pricing varies by service type and scope, and can be discussed during a phone call or meeting.

For a Quality Manual, a 50% commitment fee is required upfront. The remaining 50% is due after reviewing the first set of deliverables. Note: commitment fees are non-refundable.

Sole business registration starts at GHC 500.

For company registration, you will need to provide: company name, nature of business, postal address, contacts, email, building number, landmark, area, district, GPS address, Ghana Card, and TIN Number.

Rates: GHC 10 – 25 per hour of drying time + labour from GHC 100/day per staff member.

Example: 6 hours of drying leaves = GHC 60 (drying) + GHC 100 (labour) = GHC 160 total.

Our dehydrator has 100 trays and can take about 10 margarine buckets at a time. 70% of the estimated cost must be paid before work starts.

You can save cost by processing (slicing/preparing) your products before bringing them to us. You can also post products to us and we dry and post back under high hygienic conditions.

We don't dry highly scented or very watery products.

1. Tell us what you want to dry.
2. Send photos of your sliced products (as they will arrive to us).
3. Share the weight and photos of how items will be brought.
4. Wait for an approval date before bringing items to site.

FDA's General Labelling Requirements for pre-packaged food include:

• Product ID: Brand name & generic name
• Quantity: Net weight, net volume, drained weight (if applicable)
• Ingredients: Specific names and E-numbers where applicable
• Dates: Date of manufacture, best before date, use-by date
• Traceability: Batch number, lot number, country of origin
• Manufacturer info: Name, full address, Ghana Post Digital Address
• Usage: Directions for use, storage and handling instructions
• Language: English only, legible, printed in indelible ink
• Additional: Both primary and secondary packaging must comply; documentary evidence for nutrition claims; plant source for vegetable oils
